etching & chine colle on Hahnemuhle (conservation standard) paper
70 x 103 cm
The printing process incorporates the use of dried plants collected and dried by me to create a jungle-like landscape. I have introduced two figurative additions (chinecolle) to this landscape -the figure on the left is Pachacuti Inca Yupanqui ,founder of Machu Picchu ,Peru magnificent and in his day seen as godlike and reverser of the world and up at the top right of the print is a section of Durer's etching 'Four horsemen of the Apocalypse'- four men on horses armed with a bow and arrow,a sword, balance, scales and a pitchfork ,trampling people.
