After 2019

This exhibition is  a response to Frieda's residency in Panama in 2017.

She spent three weeks living with the Guna tribe in the remote Guna Yala region bordering the Dàrien rainforest, bound in the north by the Caribbean Sea and in the east by Columbia.

Her previous exhibition ‘Lifeforms and Landmarks’ 2017/18 looked at the most recent extinction event and the evolution of birds from dinosaurs, while this exhibition is addressing the current extinction of indigenous peoples.

The mediums chosen to express these responses are print, painting and video installation.

She continues to address the pertinent problems of the ecosystem and extinctions caused by the climate crisis.
